These are the terms that apply when you rent equipment or book services from MS Creative Events LLC. We've written them in plain English on purpose — call (760) 415-1069 any time if you'd like something explained further. By paying a retainer or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms.
Quotes & minimum order
Every quote is valid for 14 days from the date it's sent. A $650 order minimum applies when our crew is called out to deliver, set up and break down — most party packages and rental lists clear it on their own, and à la carte self-pickup has no minimum. Requests made fewer than 3 days before an event may not be possible depending on inventory; requests inside 3 days of an event that we can accommodate carry a $95 rush scheduling fee.
Retainer & what it holds
A retainer of 50% of your total is due to move a quote from "accepted" to a confirmed booking. Your retainer reserves your specific date and locks in the pricing on your quote — without it, your date and pricing are not guaranteed and could go to another client. Retainers are applied toward your total and are not an extra charge.
Balance due
The remaining balance is due in full no later than 7 days before your event date. For bookings made within that 7-day window, the full balance (including any rush fee) is due at the time of booking. We accept card, Zelle, Venmo, cash and check. Unpaid balances may delay delivery until payment is received.
Cancellations
All bookings are final. If we have to cancel due to circumstances on our end, we will refund every dollar you've paid.
Delivery, setup & teardown
Delivery, professional setup and same-day teardown are quoted per event. Delivery windows are typically two to three hours and will be confirmed with you the week of your event; exact appointment times aren't guaranteed because we're often routing multiple events in one day. Delivery is a flat $75 round trip anywhere in North County San Diego and $150 beyond it, shown on your quote. Same-day teardown/pickup is standard; overnight or multi-day rentals are available on request and priced on your quote.
Site access requirements
To keep your delivery on schedule, please make sure our crew has: a level, obstruction-free path from the driveway or curb to the setup area; a standard 110V power outlet within roughly 100 feet of any inflatable, lighting or sound equipment that requires power; and reasonably close parking for our truck and trailer. If our crew arrives and can't access the site as described (locked gates, no parking, unlevel or unsafe ground), we'll do our best to adapt on the spot, but extra time or a return trip may carry an additional fee.
Weather policy for outdoor, beach & park events
Wind, rain and extreme heat all affect what we can safely set up outdoors. Inflatables and tall backdrops cannot be set up in sustained winds above 15–20 mph or in lightning; on the coast that sometimes means a morning call on the day of your event. If weather forces us to cancel a specific item, we will substitute where possible or credit that item toward your balance — we do not charge for anything we could not safely deliver. We strongly recommend a backup indoor or covered location for any beach or park event, and we're happy to help you plan one.
Damage, loss & normal wear
An optional damage waiver (9% of your rental subtotal) covers accidental damage from normal use — a scuffed chair leg, a small stain, everyday wear. It does not cover intentional damage, water damage to non-waterproof pieces, smoke odor, or items that go missing. Without the waiver, the replacement cost of any damaged or missing item is billed to the card on file after your event. Normal wear (light scuffing on floor protectors, minor creasing on fabric) is never charged.
Cleaning
Linens, dishware and similar soft goods should be scraped free of food and returned in the bags or bins provided — you don't need to wash them. Furniture and hard rentals should simply be left where our crew can reach them for pickup. Rentals returned excessively soiled (mud, wax, confetti embedded in fabric, etc.) may carry a cleaning fee, shown on your quote.
Permits for public parks & beaches
Many events held on city parkland or beaches around North County require a special event or facility use permit, and some require proof of insurance. If your venue is a public park or beach, tell us when you book — we can walk you through the requirements for that specific location, and for full-service bookings we can often handle the paperwork on your behalf. Permit and insurance fees, when required, are separate from your rental total and are billed at cost.
Liability
You agree to use rented equipment for its intended purpose and to supervise children on any inflatable or play equipment at all times — we are a rental and delivery company, not on-site event supervision unless you've specifically booked staffing from us. MS Creative Events LLC carries general liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance to your venue on request. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the rental in question.
Questions
None of this is meant to be intimidating — it's here so everyone knows what to expect. If any of it doesn't make sense for your specific event, call (760) 415-1069 or email mscreativebiz@gmail.com and we'll sort it out together before your date.
